How to organize events for WDDD

  1. Celebrate the day with your favourite person by having a profound conversation without taking your mobile or any other gadgets in your hand.
  2. Encourage yourself and others to sleep without watching TV, social media news, WhatsApp chat, and don’t forget to remove blue light.
  3. Organize a session or motivational speech for how can we track & take control of screen time.
  4. Visit any forest, resort, or wellness centre to spend the day with your family. 
  5. Take a group pledge for living in the “real world” rather than the virtual world.
  6. Create a special event on mental wellness: Organize a wellness expert/speaker session to talk about mental health in person. If that is not an option, organize an Instagram/Facebook or Zoom and spread the word online. Organize a spiritual healing session for people disturbed due to the pandemic. 
  7. If you are a wellness industry player – Organize an in-salon/in-spa activity under the banner of WORLD DIGITAL DETOX DAY online or offline. 
  8. Take a pledge and don’t scrap e-waste, and recycle. 
  9. Keep a donation box and ask your friends, clients, or relatives to donate time for unplugging and turn the virtual world off once a week every month. 
  10. Practice mindfulness and encourage others too. 
  11. Organization online and offline events for spiritual healing/ sound therapy/ mental healing/ spa /activities/yoga activities / meditation/ gymnastics activities/ sports / spiritual activities/ pranayam /breathing sessions/ special events on engage and fear, confidence losing and trust factor for yourself. 
  12. Go out a day for dinner or lunch without any screen time during the meal. 
  13. If you are a professional organization, you can organize activities that include offers, discounts, and package deals. 
  14. If you are running any wellness-related business, offer complementary services and personalized wellness programs under the WDDD banner.
  15. If you are a skin or beauty /hair /nail organization, offer online-offline free skin/hair/body consultations. 
  16. If you are keen, you can also offer a well-being membership. 
  17. Gifting aromatherapy products/ natural products/ exercise tools/ yoga mats/ natural foods etc. 
  18. Encouraging patrons to visit wellness centres to find out your internal healing.
  19. Start your natural/ alternative therapies or medication or Ayurveda from the GWD celebration.
  20. Visit a salon/ spa/ gym to enhance your physical beauty.
  21. Displaying the WDDD, ‘Let’s Get Real’ pledge all over your store, especially in the reception area. 
  22. Wishing your guest a “Happy World Digital Detox Day.”
  23. Explaining the theme of mental wellness to them. Encouraging them to do away with mobile phones, tablets, computers, and TV screens.
  24. Ask them to keep their phones away while going for a walk or run.
  25. Encourage people to look at their surroundings and nature instead of their smartphone screens while travelling/walking or sitting in the garden.
  26. Organize group encouragement sessions to keep them to keep fit. 
  27. Create awareness to install a “WDD Donation Box” in your reception area/ open area and encourage people to donate their bad habits related to social media every month.
  28. Encourage your patrons, friends, and relatives to write down things they would like to give up or donate to make their lives healthier. For example, the number of kgs. they would like to lose, bad eating habits, incorrect posture, screen time, late-night hours, etc.,
  29. Start your day with happy thoughts and encourage others to do this practice in your day-to-day life.
  30. Sleep without any gadgets and encourage your friends to do the same.
  31. Organize a digital detox day at least once a month.

NGO, Schools, SPA/Salons, Corporates, Families, friends, #WellnessBuddies, #WellnessLovers #WellnessBelievers, and colleagues are invited to thousands of activities during World Digital Detox Day.

Search the past events on the website or social handles and take a call according to your organization’s culture, time, and connections. We encourage registered venues to make activities accessible and inclusive to all, regardless of age, gender, or condition. We believe in #WellnessIsForAll.
